Rockwell make most of ‘back door’ to see off Glenstal

ROCKWELL powered their way back into contention for the Avonmore Milk Munster Schools Senior Cup at Clanwilliam Park, Tipperary, yesterday when they proved too strong for Glenstal in a keenly contested quarter-final.

Rockwell had lost their opening game against Castletroy but like CBC on Tuesday, they have used the newly created “back door” system to revive their interest in the competition.

The shoe was on the other foot for Glenstal, who had earlier accounted for Crescent, but this time round they were unable to lift their game to the level required to cope with a much improved Rockwell side.
