ROB KEARNEY got a huge boost ahead of Ireland’s Six Nations campaign, winning the man-of-the-match award without a contest in Leinster’s lacklustre Heineken Cup victory over Edinburgh on Sunday.

Kearney was one of the few shining lights in a rather sad, albeit successful, Leinster performance.

For the third successive game, the Blues failed to score a try. Coach Michael Cheika isn’t yet prepared to hit the panic button, but it must be a worrying factor, even if his side did qualify, though now facing an away quarter-final clash with English side Harlequins.
