THESE two great rivals have a habit of producing the unexpected.

It happened a fortnight ago when Garryowen came from 19-6 down to secure a sensational AIB League victory at the death; at Musgrave Park on Saturday, Constitution exacted revenge with an 84th minute long-range penalty to book a place in the ODM Munster Senior Cup final against Old Crescent.

In every sense, it was an incredible result fashioned by a team battered into submission for the majority of this game until Garryowen pushed the self-destruct button and fell foul of referee Frank Butler.
