Leicester slap ban on Ellis

LEICESTER Tigers have suspended scrum-half Harry Ellis for a week after finding him guilty of making a dangerous tackle on Dan Carter during Sunday’s 26-20 defeat to Perpignan in the Heineken Cup.

Club officials launched an internal investigation and decided to impose the ban on the 26-year-old yesterday.

A Tigers club statement read: “Harry has been banned for one week, and he will miss the Guinness Premiership match against Newcastle Falcons this weekend.
