Beleaguered Biarritz deny sacking coaches Delmas and Isaac

BIARRITZ president Marcel Martin has slammed reports that the club have sacked coaches Jacques Delmas and Jack Isaac, but admits there is an ongoing analysis of the players and staff following the team’s poor start to the season.

L’Equipe and Sud-Ouest both claimed today that the pair will not be in charge of the team when they host Stade Francais in the Top 14 on Saturday.

But Martin said: “Biarritz notices that some of the press have published information concerning the staff of the team, based on personal suppositions and with no confirmation from the club’s board.

“Beyond the repercussions that this piece can or wants to have on the serenity of the team, BOPB deplore the lack of respect for the people involved.”

Biarritz have lost their last three matches, which has seen them plummet to eighth place.
