Lawlor clinches Wasps deal

SURPLUS to requirements at Munster, ex-Shannon winger Mossy Lawlor has been snapped up by Wasps for a three-month minimum contract.

It is expected that he will lineout for his new club on Monday night against Harlequins in an A game.

His sudden departure will rule him out of a farewell opportunity for Shannon in today’s AIB league game against Buccaneers.

Said a Shannon spokesperson: “Even when a full time Munster player Mossy was an almost constant presence in Coonagh on training nights. He always maintained his involvement with the club as much as his career with Munster would allow him.”
