MICHAEL Cheika last night insisted he is “committed” to Leinster despite strong speculation in Australia linking him with the position of New South Wales Waratahs head coach from next season.

NSW power brokers are said to be keen on securing the services of the Leinster supremo, and are believed to be doing everything in their power to persuade the former Randwick back-rower to return down under.

A potential deal could involve Cheika teaming up with David Knox, his assistant at Leinster, and who earlier this season said he was returning to Australia.
