Dempsey: we’re over World Cup woes

GIRVAN DEMPSEY is adamant the Irish team have put their World Cup nightmare behind them and are ready for the Six Nations.

“Everybody is looking forward to the start of the Six Nations,” said the Leinster full-back. “As a team and a squad, we feel we’ve put the World Cup to bed and we want to move forward.

“We want to show we’re still a very driven team that is hungry for success. We’re looking forward to getting into the Six Nations and putting back on the green jersey and showing what we’re capable of.”
