Flannery: I was only trying to free my leg

MUNSTER hooker Jerry Flannery last night flatly denied that he deliberately stamped on French backrow Julien Bonnaire in yesterday’s thrilling Heineken Cup clash.

Flannery could miss Saturday’s crucial Pool Five tie against London Wasps if the citing commissioner acts on clear video evidence of the incident.

But a defiant Flannery said: “All I know is that at one point in the game my leg was being held, and I was trying to free my leg.
