Horan cleared of foul play charge during Scarlets tie

The Munster forward appeared before a disciplinary committee in Dublin yesterday. He had been cited by match commissioner Bill Dunlop for allegedly kicking Scarlets prop Deacon Manu during the Pool Five clash at Thomond Park.

But the independent committee, chaired by the RFU’s disciplinary officer Jeff Blackett and comprising Rob Horner, dismissed the citing.

Both parties have the right to appeal.
