Former Ireland boss Gatland ‘very interested’ in Wales job

WARREN Gatland has admitted he is “very interested” in taking over as the coach of Wales.

The former Ireland and Wasps boss, who is currently in charge of New Zealand side Waikato, has met with Welsh Rugby Union officials to discuss the position.

The WRU have been looking for a new coach since sacking Gareth Jenkins the day after Wales were eliminated from the World Cup.
