RTÉ Television to broadcast both tests against the Pumas

RTÉ has finalised an agreement with Argentinian rugby officials for live TV and radio coverage of the two rugby tests between Argentina and Ireland in the coming weeks.

There had been considerable doubt over coverage, but Montrose last night confirmed that RTÉ Television will broadcast both tests against the Pumas on May 26 (8pm) and Saturday, June 2 (8.10pm).

RTÉ Radio will also broadcast live coverage with commentary from Michael Corcoran and Irish Examiner analyst Donal Lenihan live on RTÉ Radio 1 MW and LW.

Group head of sport Glen Killane said: “Following RTÉ’s Six Nations Championship coverage this year, which attracted the biggest ever audiences for the tournament on Irish television, we are delighted to be able to give viewers another opportunity to see their national team in action.”
