O’Driscoll looks to the future

AFTER the events of the last few weeks, the consolation for Irish and Leinster captain Brian O’Driscoll is he will be given time to rest and recover from a torn hamstring.

It also comes as some relief to national coach Eddie O’Sullivan, who wants to preserve the health of his on-field leader.

O’Driscoll saw his beloved sides both suffer heartbreak in the Six Nations and the Heineken Cup — the latter an agonising experience on Saturday, given that he had to sit and watch from the stands.
