Who needs what as hunt for quarter-final places intensifies

ALL over Europe, rugby clubs and fans are sitting down with pools, lists, calculators, algorithms and abacuses, all of them trying to work out who’s qualified for what — and who’s still in the hunt.

For anyone who’s not tricked out with the necessary equipment, here’s a guide to who needs what this weekend for the Heineken Cup quarter-finals.

First off, four teams have qualified: Munster, Scarlets, Biarritz, Leinster. Then there are those who are in with a chance: Wasps, Castres, Sale, Ospreys, Stade Français, Leicester, and Northampton.
