Perpignan to answer ERC ticketing claim
It is the first time a club has faced possible ERC sanction over ticket distribution, and if found guilty, Perpignan could face a hefty fine.
The committee, chaired by Rod McKenzie (Scotland), will investigate claims 15% of tickets in each category for the game were not made available to the English side, as per regulations.
Meanwhile, ex-Leinster lock Ben Gissing — now with Calvisano — has been cited as a result of an incident in the Italian club’s Heineken Cup clash with the Ospreys last week.
Gissing will appear before an independent disciplinary committee to face the charge.
He was cited by the Ospreys and after a review of the alleged punching incident by the independent citing officer he has ruled the player should be subject to a disciplinary hearing.
The committee will be convened as soon as is practicable. As the match was not televised live a citing commissioner was not in operation.
