‘We must learn to cope in poor weather’

WALLABY captain Stirling Mortlock will recommend his squad undergo an acclimatisation process in advance of next year’s World Cup to deal with potentially bad weather.

Mortlock wasn’t making excuses for losing to Ireland in a deluge of rain, but he admitted that his side had failed to deal with the adverse conditions.

“It’s fair to say that we’re not used to playing in those kind of conditions, but we knew what we were facing well before the game started and should have been able to cope better,” he said.
