Horan out of Cardiff cup ties with injury

MARCUS Horan is to miss Munster’s pre-Christmas Heineken Cup games against Cardiff.

Horan tore a calf muscle after coming on as a late replacement in yesterday’s international against Australia.

Irish coach Eddie O’Sullivan admitted that Horan is out of Sunday’s final Autumn International against the Pacific Islands and said the prop could face a prolonged period on the sideline. The prop suffered a similar injury some months ago, albeit in a different leg, and was out of action for six weeks.
