Loffreda angry at Noriega appointment

ARGENTINA’S preparations for today’s Test with Italy have been disrupted after coach Marcelo Loffreda reacted angrily to the appointment of Patricio Noriega to his coaching staff.

Loffreda made eight changes for his side’s clash and is looking to build on last weekend’s 25-18 win over England. But he is unhappy after not being consulted over Noriega’s appointment and has met assistant manager Daniel Baetti, Argentinian Rugby Union president Alejandro Risler and secretary Raul Sanz.

“I don’t understand too much about this, but I’m worried because nobody told me anything about it before,” Loffreda said.

However, Noriega insists he has joined the set-up to expand his knowledge and said: “I have just came here to learn.”
