Allen not in awe of O’Driscoll

JONNY WILKINSON will be a source of inspiration to Gloucester’s thrilling midfield talent Anthony Allen if he makes his England debut next month.

Allen celebrates his 21st birthday a week before England launch their 2007 World Cup campaign in France.

But if England head coach Andy Robinson adopts a ‘good enough is old enough’ approach to selection when he names a 30-man autumn Test squad on Wednesday, then there should be room for Allen, plus his similarly youthful Gloucester colleagues Olly Morgan and Ryan Lamb.
