Back to basics for last year’s heroes

WHEN Munster finally won the Heineken Cup in Cardiff last May, John Kelly’s celebration was low key.

After the game, he contrasted his emotions with the two previous finals Munster had lost, saying; “Well, this time I won’t want to crawl back into bed and stick my head under the covers like on the previous occasions.”

“It was a fantastic achievement; something none of us will ever forget, but we’re well back to ground level now. A new campaign is about to start and we’re well aware everyone wants to knock us down. That’s all part of the challenge,” he said.
