Munster official on IRB panel

MUNSTER-based referee George Clancy has been included in a list of several officials for 29 Test rugby games in the build up to the World Cup.

There are no changes to the IRB International Referees Panel but Jonathan Kaplan (South Africa) has not been appointed to any November internationals as he is due to undergo minor surgery.

There are seven new appointments on the Touch Judge/TMO panel, which comprises of 19 match officials. They are Taizo Hirabayashi (Japan), Peter Allan (Scotland), George Clancy (Ireland), Tim Hayes (Wales), James Leckie (Australia), Romain Poite (France) and Chris Pollock (New Zealand).
