English rugby’s senior disciplinary official has decided there is “insufficient evidence” to charge Northampton scrum-half Mark Robinson with making racially abusive remarks.

But New Zealander Robinson will receive a written warning from RFU’s disciplinary chief Jeff Blackett after he swore repeatedly at Bath wing Andy Higgins during a Guinness Premiership clash between the clubs on Saturday.

Blackett launched an investigation after four Bath supporters made statements to the RFU alleging Robinson had made racist remarks against Higgins.
