Munster ‘dream package’ on sale for worthy cause

A DREAM Munster rugby package has gone on sale in Limerick for a good cause.

It consists of a ball used during last Sunday’s Heineken European Cup semi-final signed by the Munster and Leinster players, a signed Munster jersey. And last but not least, two tickets for the final against Biarritz at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on May 20.

The proceeds will be given to The Bubble Gum Club which organises special treats for very sick children.

A group of locals at Charlie Malone’s pub in Wolfe Tone Street have organised the fundraising, which includes a golf classic at Rathbane Golf Club on Monday next.

One of the organiser’s Ger Cox said: “We are members of Young Munster and Mikey Prendergast, one of the Munster panel organised to get a ball used during the game signed by both teams. We will have a special presentation night on Monday and we hope Paul O’Connell and Mike Prendergast, both Young Munster men will be there. Anybody who wants to put in a bid for the ball, jersey and tickets can do so by ringing me on 085 1256368.”
