Back pain as Lion flanker faces sanction over citing

LEICESTER flanker Neil Back will face an RFU disciplinary hearing tomorrow that could affect his involvement in the Lions tour.

Back has been cited for an alleged act of foul play in the Zurich Premiership final at Twickenham on Saturday.

The veteran forward was involved in an incident with Wasps flanker Joe Worsley which left his opposite number needing 13 stitches.

The RFU’s hearing will be held in London tomorrow evening and chaired by Judge Jeff Blackett.

Any ban could run into the early matches of the Lions tour in New Zealand next month.
