Record try-scorer Latham may not even make Aussie bench

WHEN you score five tries in a World Cup match, even against a side as limited as Namibia, the least you might expect is to sit on the bench for the next game.

However, Chris Latham isn’t assured of even that, in spite of his tour de force in Adelaide on Saturday. The Wallabies announce their side tomorrow for Saturday’s Telstra Stadium clash with Ireland and Latham may find himself banished altogether.

Mat Rogers remains frontrunner for the number 15 jersey and there may not be any room on the bench.
