I’m not chasing league star Connolly, says O’Sullivan

IRISH coach Eddie O'Sullivan has laughed off suggestions Rugby League star Gary Connolly is set to link up with the national rugby team.

O'Sullivan insisted yesterday that no approach had been made to Connolly, who retired from Rugby League at the weekend following Great Britain's game with New Zealand.

Connolly played for Ireland's Rugby League squad in the 2000 World Cup and has expressed interest in continuing a career in the Union code.
