Shape up or ship out

SOUTH AFRICA coach Jake White has warned centre pairing Jean de Villiers and Jaque Fourie to start living up to their impressive reputations or face the axe.

The duo were handed their chance after De Wet Barry and Marius Joubert failed to maintain the superb form they showed in last year’s Tri-Nations. But De Villiers and Fourie haven’t fared much better.

They are expected to keep their places for Saturday’s Test against Wales at the Millennium Stadium, but another limp display will almost certainly spell the end of the partnership.
