Refs named for Heineken Cup games

THE hotly-anticipated Heineken Cup pool matches between reigning champions Wasps and former winners Leicester will be officiated by two of Europe’s leading referees.

Wales’ Nigel Williams was yesterday confirmed as the man in charge for the first meeting between the two Zurich Premiership sides at Wasps’ Causeway Stadium on December 5.

Ireland’s Alain Rolland, who refereed when Wasps beat Toulouse in last season’s final at Twickenham, will officiate the return fixture at Welford Road a week later.
