Betsen voted the best in France

INTERNATIONAL flanker Serge Betsen was voted best French player in 2002

Betsen, who plays for French champions Biarritz, was voted unanimously for the award following a successful season for both club and country.

Betsen received his prize at a ceremony in Toulouse at the end of a meeting of the union of French players, Provale.

During the meeting, Provale and the FFR signed a charter defining rules for internationals in terms of salaries and insurance in case of injuries at an international test.
