Gleeson makes no bones about Irish ambitions
Most players skirt around key issues when questioned, straining not to offend anybody or, God forbid, raise a hint of expectation, but the Dublin-born, Australian-reared openside tells it as he sees it, and without apology.
Maybe it's simply the remnants of the mentality that most Aussie sportsmen appear to have drilled into their psyche as soon as they take to the playing fields, but Gleeson is totally unreserved in expressing his hopes for Ireland over the coming five weeks.
