Halstead to make Munster debut

SOUTH AFRICAN centre Trevor Halstead will make his Munster debut in tomorrow night’s game with Leicester Tigers at Welford Road.

Halstead, capped six times for the Springboks between 2001 and 2003, has been named in a 24-man squad shorn of Irish internationals involved in a ten-week pre-season preparation programme.

Munster coach Declan Kidney is also likely to name Italian prop Federico Pucceriello in his team, to be finalised tonight.
