Leamy, Bowe and O'Connor in line for first Irish caps

MUNSTER'S Denis Leamy is included in a 27-strong Irish squad to prepare for the autumn internationals against South Africa, USA and Argentina in Dublin next month.

Leamy was one of three in-form youngsters called up by Eddie O'Sullivan yesterday and will be joined by Ulster's Tommy Bowe and Johnny O'Connor, who has been starring for Wasps. It's likely that one or all of the trio will win their first caps somewhere along the line, probably in the second game against the Eagles.

O'Sullivan made no promises, but when commenting on the order of the three games suggested that it would provide him with the opportunity to rotate his teams.
