Lewsey praise for Munster

WASPS and England winger Josh Lewsey has praised the Munster players and fans after Sunday’s Heineken Cup clash at Lansdowne Road.
Lewsey praise for Munster

Lewsey writes a diary on the Zurich Premiership website, and admitted in this week’s installment that the match, in his opinion, was the greatest club game ever played.

“This will forever be unrivalled for pure drama and atmosphere. To win, despite us being outnumbered by 48,000 fans to 2,000 in such a gladiatorial cauldron, was simply superb.”

Lewsey continued: “The game itself had everything ... but what stood out for me was how competitive both sides were.”

He added: “The standing ovation from a great sporting and generous people at the final whistle once again demonstrated all that is good about rugby.”
