San Sebastian pitch a far cry from Thomond Park, fans warned

Sports’ travel specialist Pat Dawson says the 15,000 Munster fans expected in San Sebastian will enjoy their stay in the Basque city but adds that they’ll find Real Sociedad’s Anoesta Stadium different to their Limerick fortress on April 3.

“Munster are used to having their fans almost on top of the pitch in Thomond Park, but they’ll be at least 35 metres back from the pitch in San Sebastian. It’s a lovely stadium with two tiers of seating, very neat and tidy, and the pitch is in fantastic condition.”
