Kiwis end tour with victory

The New Zealand Youths rounded off their Ireland tour last night by beating Leinster 23-13 at Donnybrook.

Out-half Troy Nathan opened the scoring after 12 minutes with a penalty and the tourists extended their lead with an individual try from winger Paul Tuuta. Nathan duly converted.

The tourists coughed up a try early in the second-half when a reverse pass from hooker Gary Moran sent Murphy over near the posts. Brian O’Shea’s conversion made it a three-point game.

However, after the sin-binning of Colm Treston for spoiling, centre Marty Campbell went over on the hour. Replacement out-half Conor Sharpe landed two penalties but the Kiwis opened Leinster up again with an injury-time try from Wesley Webster.
