Ireland A squad in Churchill Cup

IRELAND A will take a squad of 28 players to Canada and the US for next year’s Churchill Cup.

The team will be managed by Joey Miles and coached by Connacht’s Michael Bradley and Mark McCall and Allen Clarke of Ulster.

The other participants will include Canada, USA, England A, Scotland A and the New Zealand Maoris.

The teams will be divided into two pools, in Canada and the US, playing each team in their pool before moving to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada for the Finals Day at the Commonwealth Stadium.

Each team will play a total of three matches in the tournament next June.

Pool A (San Francisco): USA, Ireland A, NZ Maoris Pool B (Toronto & Ottawa) Canada, England A, Scotland A June 3: England A v Scotland A, Toronto; USA v Ireland A, San Francisco June 7: Canada v Scotland A, Ottawa; USA v NZ Maoris, San Francisco June 10: Canada v England A, Toronto; NZ Maoris v Ireland A, San Francisco June 17: Finals Day, Edmonton 3rd Place Pool A v 3rd Place Pool B; 2nd Place Pool A v 2nd Place Pool B; 1st Place Pool A v 1st Place Pool B.
