Williams’ reign as Scots boss under threat

THE future of Scotland coach Matt Williams is in doubt as a review of his side’s disappointing Six Nations campaign is underway.

Australian Williams, who led his team to just one victory in five Six Nations games this year, met with Scotland director of rugby Ian McGeechan yesterday.

There has been widespread speculation that Williams has lost the support of his senior players to the extent that several have threatened never to play for their country again if he remains in charge.
