Munster relief as Leamy cleared for Perpignan Cup clash

DENIS LEAMY may be out of Munster’s Celtic League clash with Llanelli at Stradey Park on Saturday, but more importantly, he is on course to make the Heineken Cup quarter-final against Perpignan in 10 days’ time.

Leamy’s ankle injury, sustained in the late stages of Ireland’s victory over England at Twickenham, is not as bad as first feared.

The Irish No 8 was given a tentative thumbs up from medics after an MRI scan in Cork yesterday.
