Players’ jobs threatened by collapse of Celtic League

"We were aware there were problems with the WRU," said Woods, "But we were not made aware of the danger that the Celtic League would be cancelled. Learning of the cancellation through the media was disappointing, particularly for players whose livelihoods are based on rugby.

"Players have negotiated contracts based on win bonuses, which in turn were based on the number of games they expected to play. That's all gone now."
