Hogan set to switch to Leinster

MUNSTER’S Trevor Hogan seems set to sign for Leinster on a two-year contract from the start of next season.

Hogan set to switch to Leinster

Hogan, now rated number four in Munster following the arrival back from Perpignan of Mick O’Driscoll, will leave the province for the exact same reasons as O’Driscoll did when travelling to France nearly three years ago - the pursuit of first team rugby.

On the basis of Leinster’s performance out of touch in the Celtic League clash against Connacht last night, Hogan has more than a sporting chance of making the starting XV with Leinster.

Forwards Matt McCullough, Neil Best, Anthony Foley and Bryan Young have been called into the Irish squad.

In the backs, Kieran Lewis, Robert Kearney, Denis Hickie and Tommy Bowe also got the call to train with the match 22 who played against Wales.

Barry Murphy and John Kelly were not considered due to injury.
