Rotherham’s future is likely to be decided within the next 24 hours as Twickenham top brass debate a proposed rescue plan.

Seemingly on its knees a fortnight ago, the club remain hopeful of starting their National League One campaign as planned in 11 days’ time.

But that hinges on the RFU management board accepting a local consortium’s business plan to keep Rotherham going.

Around £500,000 has been raised by the group, while Rotherham players have agreed to take sizeable pay cuts as part of the Titans’ survival fight.
