Stringer tries in vain to salvage hope from defeat

PETER STRINGER was close to his sniping best as he tried just about everything to salvage something from the wreckage that was Munster’s performance at Stradey Park.

He scored his side’s first try and battled gamely to the end but without significant fruit for his labours.

“We tried to move the ball, to play a bit of rugby, but crucial errors let us down,” he accepted.
