Ireland victory far from inspiring

AFTER that magnificent win over South Africa, Saturday’s game was always going to be an anti-climax.

The feel-good factor emanating from the victory over the ’Boks’ was checked somewhat by a less than convincing performance against the USA and England’s comprehensive defeat of South Africa in Twickenham.

The biggest surprise of all over the weekend was Argentina’s victory over France in Marseilles. Given that Ireland play the Pumas in Dublin on Saturday, another massive challenge lies ahead.
