Hodgson hopes to keep Wilkinson waiting in the wings

IT’S almost 12 months since Jonny Wilkinson last pulled on a number 10 jersey for England in the World Cup final.

If Charlie Hodgson has his way, Wilkinson is going to be kept waiting a good deal longer, even after he has recovered from his latest debilitating injury.

Newcastle director of rugby Rob Andrew reckons Wilkinson will be ready to return for his club in three weeks, following a bicep injury.
