Foley earns recall as stars return to bolster squad

ANTHONY Foley makes a welcome return to Ireland’s squad of 35 for the RBS Six Nations Championship after losing out for the autumn series of matches against New Zealand, Australia and Romania.

Not surprisingly, the squad named by coach Eddie O’Sullivan, is augmented by further experience in the form of Brian O’Driscoll, Paul O’Connell and Denis Hickie, all recently returned from injuries.

The inclusion of Foley was an acceptance by the coach that the Munster captain, with 62 international caps and a Heineken Cup record haul for Munster, is not past his sell-by date.
