Lomu stable after kidney transplant

FORMER New Zealand wing Jonah Lomu has had a kidney transplant.

The operation took place at the Auckland City Hospital on Tuesday and is said to have gone without complications.

Lomu’s doctor John Mayhew said: “It is too early to comment on the success of the transplant. Surgeons confirm that the operation went according to plan and Jonah is in a stable condition.
