Melville axed by Gloucester

The Cherry and Whites have parted company with Melville with immediate effect following a dismal run which saw the the club register just five victories since Christmas.

Melville’s future looked bleak following the 24-16 defeat by Saracens in last Saturday’s Zurich Wildcard final - a result which ended Gloucester’s hopes of featuring in next season’s Heineken Cup - and his three-year stint in the west country was concluded tonight.
