Stringer caps 50th appearance with try to remember

SATURDAY’S victory over USA will be amongst Peter Stringer’s most treasured memories.

The diminutive scrum-half collected his 50th cap in the Lansdowne Road landslide - and his second half try made the occasion even sweeter.

“I didn’t have much time to think about what it meant to me, but I was aware I was winning my 50th cap and it was great to get that try near the end,” admitted Stringer.
