What Munster need to top pool

FACTS first. Munster need a win and a bonus point against Sale next Saturday at Thomond Park to top their pool in the Heineken Cup.

It’s that simple. Sale’s victory over Newport Gwent Dragons yesterday - securing a bonus point - has put them in the driving seat with 23 points. Munster are second on 18 points.

However, if Munster can beat Sale next weekend in Thomond Park and score four tries in the process, that will take them above the Premiership outfit, though obviously in those circumstances they would also need to deny Sale a bonus point.
