Stringer still taking it all in his stride

PETER STRINGER has been mainly lauded and sometimes criticised in a six-year international career, but Ireland’s most capped scrum half just prefers to get on with the game.

Stringer still taking it all in his stride

“The time since I made my debut six years ago has flown by so quickly. If someone told me back then that I’d be in the team for six years, I would have been delighted. It is only natural we have highs and lows. Whatever has happened, every game has been important, but for me it is just great to be still involved.”

Stringer, 29, made his debut against Scotland at Lansdowne Road on a day that redefined Ireland’s season - a season that went from bad (prior to his selection) to pretty good.
